since it isnt a serial and in TFM tully is a short story reading them in any order cant hurt, but i suggest when you read the Dirk Pitt series you start at the first!!!! what a day both a Dirk Pitt and Jimmy Buffett book released on the same day!!!! yes, there is a santa claus!!!!
if you cant laugh at yourself, laugh at someone else.
i read the first few stories in TFM but totally forgot what they were about, i think i'll reread the Tully Mars one, than maybe pick up salty peice of land.
Yea I'd say get Tales from Margartaville and read the Tully Mars story first. Though I haven't got a copy of ASPOL yet so I'm not sure if Buffett kinda goes back and tells the story of Tully up to the point that he left off at
Yep, I'd say read Take Another Road from TFM.... I haven't read it in 10 years or so now I've gotta reread it before I start the new book... Gonna do that today cause I hate buying something new and not using it right away!

That's exactly what's troubling me! B&N is just up the street but I couldn't bear to buy it without cracking it open.
I started reading ASPOL this morning and it does a good review of Tullys
life as described in Tales. That beening that , I'd read them all(I have ) and each is alot of fun in its own way.
I've only gotten through about the first 70 pages so far but I don't think you have to know the story about Tully from TFM to get the book. I think he gives enough of a recap that it won't make a difference if you haven't read the short story first.
