Reading Jimmy - Where to start?

Post by buffettbride »

I plan on picking up my copy of Salty Piece of Land soon, but I've never read anything else of his.

Will I be lost if I start with this one and then work my way backwards?

Yea I'd say get Tales from Margartaville and read the Tully Mars story first. Though I haven't got a copy of ASPOL yet so I'm not sure if Buffett kinda goes back and tells the story of Tully up to the point that he left off at

Yep, I'd say read Take Another Road from TFM.... I haven't read it in 10 years or so now I've gotta reread it before I start the new book... Gonna do that today cause I hate buying something new and not using it right away! :-? :-? :-?

That's exactly what's troubling me! B&N is just up the street but I couldn't bear to buy it without cracking it open.

chinese food is like sex: it tastes great and fills you up, but an hour later you are hungry again.

Maybe I should enjoy the book over some Egg Foo Young. :o

I started reading ASPOL this morning and it does a good review of Tullys
life as described in Tales. That beening that , I'd read them all(I have ) and each is alot of fun in its own way.

PS Jolly Mon makes a great gift for the keets.

Do NOT start with the non-fiction PL@40 first...
But I would suggest TFM. I reread it last spring
in preparation for this new release.

I've only gotten through about the first 70 pages so far but I don't think you have to know the story about Tully from TFM to get the book. I think he gives enough of a recap that it won't make a difference if you haven't read the short story first.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
