A movie called Sideways with Paul Giamatti also known as Pig Vomit from Private Parts. Anyway, great movie! Its been out since the fall but just finally got around to seeing it. It is only playing in selective theaters right now but if your local theater has it check it out. A lot of drinking is involved too so its a must see. It actually reminds me of a middle aged men Swingers. Speaking of Swingers (the movie) I lived in L.A. for quite a while before moving back to Orange County (30 miles south) and the movie is VERY true to the scene. I still have a few friends who are actors or I should say waiters that I visit up there every now and then just for the laughs.

50 First Dates
Saw this on HBO this past week and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. From some of the previews I've seen and considering the usual made-for-Adam Sandler movies I've become accustomed to, 50 First Dates seemed like a big improvement over some of the more recent movies I've seen him in.

American Splendor
This may not be for everybody but I enjoyed if for no other reason than it provided some background on this strange character (Harvey Pekar) I recall seeing on Late Night with David Letterman back in the 80s when his show was truly edgy.

Along Came Polly
Another one I caught on HBO. Watchable but not one of Ben Stiller's best. He now bypasses Adam Sandler as least likely to escape his onscreen idiotic persona, at least for the time being. Jennifer Aniston was sure fun to look at though.

It's your world, I'm just living in it!
I thought Amos Poe did an outstanding job capturing Steve's music and politics while maintaining a balance between the two. In that respect there's lots of concert footage of Steve with both the Dukes and the Bluegrass Dukes, some background on his stance on the death penalty and the play he did about Karla Faye Tucker, the first woman to be sentenced to death in Texas since the 1800s. Personally, I may not agree with everything Steve believes in but this documentary provides some much needed insight into his beliefs. His son Justin is also featured throughout the film who seems to have inheritied his dad's gift for songwriting.a1aara wrote:Jahfin,Jahfin wrote:

Can you give some info on this movie? Looks interesting.
