This is just another reason why the money is killing professional sports. The only reason that they take the roids is so they can hit more homeruns and score a bigger contract during free agency. Gone are the players who want to play for the sake of playing.

If the players made about $50,000 a year, would we be hearing anything about BALCO and steroids?

At least.....Giambi didn't throw anyone else under the bus. Or it doesn't seem like he did like Bonds did. If nothing else Giambi is coming of as a stand up guy. I am not defending him and he should be banned.

They should also take away his 2 HR's in last years ALCS game 7 and give the Rdd Sox the 2003 AL championship and let teh Sox play Florida next week for the real 2003 World Series
