I have no problem with TN. When I'm there you will find me on the East side of Nashville.

Me, too, but then I'm nearly always here, east of Nashville and close to the lakes!

How can you not like TN? It's where Nashville is, Music City USA, home base of the some of the best country music in the world . . . like Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney.

Ha! I just kill me.
And it's where WE are: GrannaC, citcat, jimolliemom, Bob(of the Heffelfingers), etc.!!!!!!!!!!!! :P :D

I prefer Austin myself, the "live" music capital of the world but it is good to know that such luminaries as John Prine, Todd Snider and Guy Clark have taken up residence in Nashvegas.

I was going there once a year there for a while. I didn't make it down for the third annual ACL Fest this fall but there's always SXSW in the spring. More bands than you can shake a stick at.

I have friends in the area and usually end up spending a few days out on Lake Buchanan before getting my live music fix in town. Funny you should mention the Jerry Jeff thing as the first time I was there he was doing a show over at the Austin Music Hall with Todd Snider and Jack Ingram but I was too pooped to pop after the long ass plane trip so I didn't make it. Still haven't seen Jerry Jeff in fact....

OMFG you should check out his website and try to go to the bday thing. I believe this year it's going to be the first weekend in April. It's like 3 days of concerts. I usually go to the 3rd day - Saturday's at the Paramount Theater in downtown Austin on Congress. It's a very old vaudvillian theater and seats about 1000. After the show everyone goes over to the Driskill for the afterparty where everyone mingles together. We usually take up the downstairs bar and all the banquet rooms upstairs. It's really a great time.

Thanks for the lowdown and I surely hope to make it one day (either that or the Belize cruise) but I may be making my first trip to London next summer to see R.E.M. in Hyde Park. I'll definitely keep it in mind though.

They already did, its called "I cant go there" its the last song on the No shoes No shirt, No problems cd. Its about Key west and San Fran and spawned a bunch of rumurs about kenny being gay.

I'd say for Live music, theres no better place than south florida. Go into any bar and you're bound to hear an amazing band . . . .so many good reggae, buffetty, and latin bands all throughout south florida.

For anyone who lives in the Palm Beach area, specifically Palm Beach Shores, have you ever been to this amazing little restauraunt / bar called Panama Hatties? If so, on saturday nights, the most amazing reggae band plays there called the "coconutheads" i believe. Gotta check them out if you're down there!

REALLY?????????! I always had a feeling that that was tims voice in the background singing "in the sunshine, when it rains. Christmas parties, football games. . .etc."?? Did they credit him in the credits? btw, thats one of my favorite kenny songs
