Yeah, you would.a1aara wrote:I see the Humor in it.
p.s. Are you sure you're not Jah's alter ego? Not that there is anything wrong with that, it just seems you show up at the right times asking just the right questions. I could be wrong, and I am not harassing you or challenging you or otherwise being rude, mean or nasty.
Just curious. So, anyone else that might be reading this, I respectfully request that you "stay off my back".

I'm sure. I know nothing about him
Is it that odd that 2 different grown men don't care about some of the "popular/new country"that is mentioned here?
I could care less who likes Tim McGraw. A lot of people do and that's a great thing. It's just not for me. I don't see why it should lead to so much hostility.

Dude (did anyone else read the CNN.COM thing about the word "dude"?).a1aara wrote:I'm sure. I know nothing about him

Dude, it isn't that. Heck, I don't like Tim McGraw, and I pretty much {politically correct} DISLIKE country myself, that's not the point. It seems eerie that you don't speak while Jah drinks water. Once again, I mean no harm or ill will. Just a fascination now.
Actually, [serious](slipping into serious mode for a very brief time, which is hard for me as I come here to escape from serious) the hostility started because certain individuals, who I will not name, expressed their opinions in a very disrespectful way. This was just a continuation of negativity that originated at another board and led to the ultimate banning of the individual. When this started here, some people(this group includes myself) were a little peeved that the individual had brought the same crap here, and confronted said individual. Then we got to where we are now. THE ENDa1aara wrote:I'm sure. I know nothing about him

So, in other words it's all Jahfin's fault? If only. What happened at the COBO is similiar to what happened to some of you here lately. There are certain moderaters over there that are buddy buddy so if someone does something they don't like, unless you're "in" with them, you're out the door with no objectivity used whatsoever. While I've tried my best to not resort to name calling there's been a couple of instances where I let people get to me and I stooped their level by doing the same. As you can see, some of those very same people continue to sling sh*t, seemingly without consequence. Strange how my neck has been put on the chopping block but their antics are allowed to go on. And on....PHBeerman wrote:Actually, [serious](slipping into serious mode for a very brief time, which is hard for me as I come here to escape from serious) the hostility started because certain individuals, who I will not name, expressed their opinions in a very disrespectful way. Dude (again), I hope that you do not feel that I am one of the shitslingers here. The most I have done is try to get you and your alter ego together. Uh-oh, that word got through when it is a compound word. mmmmmmmmm I'm in trouble now!Jahfin wrote:So, in other words it's all Jahfin's fault? If only. Although I must comment on the "neck on the block" comment: "when you lay with dogs, you're going to get fleas". Meaning, stay away from my dogs, no, wait, what I really mean is, well, as a casual observer, your posts take on a certain, how shall I say, FORWARD tendancy. Much like another poster, who will go nameless. If you stand up to a bully, well, she's going to punch you in the eye. If you walk away, sure he/she will call you a wuss, but you are a non-black-eye wuss who has taken the "high road". Plus, you can always reference them in later, unrelated, posts and they may not even know it. Or, even better, they see it and say "what?".
Your "take" is more than slightly off the mark. Witness the replies *some* of my posts recieve when I've done absolutely nothing to provoke such a response. Those sorts of replies are given only to stir up more sh*t, which inevitably they do but to what avail? None, as far as I can see. They just prove the immaturity level of *some* of the posters here.PHBeerman wrote:Just explaining my take on the hostility.
Now, for the keep the thread on track, some Truckers' content:

Once again, do you not see the provocation in your post? "Immaturity level of *some* of the posters here"? Heck yeah, I'm immature. I'm also 43 frickin years old. I feel I have earned my place at the "kid's table" during the holidays. Gosh, heckfire, I ask to sit there! Big deal. I would rather sit with the young ones who still have a sense of humor and imagination and, gasp, open minds.Jahfin wrote:Your "take" is more than slightly off the mark. {stepping off my high horse... Oh shnikeys, my foot is stuck in the stirrup, OWWWW, watch out, I am being immature, AAAAAGGGHHHH"},
BTW, I think Calvin and Hobbes was the best comic strip ever written, know why? Because Bill Watterson never lost the vision of a child. And neither will I.
When their immaturity adds to the problem by serving only to provoke others it doesn't help matters any, it only helps to further compound the situation.Y-NO-9-O wrote:Once again, do you not see the provocation in your post? Your immaturity adds to the problems and compounds them too. Yours is just a different kind of immaturity - not the silly kind.Jahfin wrote:When their immaturity adds to the problem by serving only to provoke others it doesn't help matters any, it only helps to further compound the situation.
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave
