Why would this be?
Because she's only been in the band about a year.
Did the truckers pick her up when they were driving by?

thank you for that - simple, but it killed me!

I like the song "The Night G.G. Allen Came To Town". Probably my first exposure to the DBT's.

The first one I heard was an acoustic version of "Nine Bullets" from a compilation album of Southeastern artists called Revival Vol. 2: Kudzu n' Hollerin' Contest. That, and the first volume of Revivial (Brunswick Stew and Pig Pickin') are what opened my ears to the local y'allternative scene. I've always been a fan of local (NC) music and country rock but I was totally blown away the first time I heard the likes of the Backsliders, Whiskeytown, Six String Drag, Trailer Bride, the Star Room Boys, and the $2 Pistols, all of who can be heard on these discs. The artist who did the album covers, Wes Freed, has done the cover to every DBTs album since Southern Rock Opera and has a web site here if anyone is interested in checking out his work:

I was driving home from work yesterday and found a Joe Ely cd that I had forgotten about in my car. I almost forgot how much I like Joe Ely!

Shonna, the bass player, is actually married to DBTs guitarist Jason Isbell who is also sorta new to the band. He came onboard shortly after the release of Southern Rock Opera in 2001. They were both in a band together back in Alabama (where most of the band hails from). Her first contribution was playing some parts on stand up bass for the Decoration Day record.

The likelihood of that occuring is about as good as no more threads about Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, etc., being started. Probably ain't gonna happen.
Here's some more great artwork from DBTs artist Wes Freed:
