Kew West 1/22- 1/25
About 15 of us are making our annual pilgrimage to Key West from 1/22 to 1/25. 4 or 5 BNers will be in the group. If anyone will be down there that week give a yell. I would love to say hello and buy you a beer at Captain Tony's.
Sweet senorita won't you please come with me
Back to the island honey, back to the sea
Back to the only place that I want to be

i just got back from my first phlocking to key west. it was great. with all the history and stories and characters and sights it was a great trip. was truly disappointed with the staff at margaritaville though. i asked them on wednesday if they were simulcasting the 'coastal confession' in the restaurant and the 2 people i asked said 'what is that?' and one asked 'are they a band?'
however i fully recommend the 'trails of margaritaville' tour. that was a great time.
more than happy to talk to anyone else who would like to discuss the island.

My mother was in Orlando on a business trip on the night of the November 2003 CMA awards (when JB and Alan Jackson led off with 5:00 Somewhere and also won an award). She went to the Margaritaville in Orlando that night specifically to watch the broadcast with other fans. But, they never cut to it. She said that they just kept the concert video that is always playing going. She was really bummed out.doxadive wrote:was truly disappointed with the staff at margaritaville though. i asked them on wednesday if they were simulcasting the 'coastal confession' in the restaurant and the 2 people i asked said 'what is that?' and one asked 'are they a band?'
Makes me wonder about the people working at Margaritaville. I mean, I would think that if my CEO was going to be on national televison, I would know it.

i stayed at the la concha, which was nice and full of history, if you go there stay on the off street side, lots of traffic noise on the street side.
also, look into staying in the guest houses. most of them serve breakfast and have their own hapy hours, all of which are included in their price.

That explains why all the women at MOTM were coming up to get you to autograph parts of their anatomy....Sidew13 wrote:We stayed at the Ocean Breeze Inn for MOTM.
