Kind of a funny story... his sister was turned around waving towards someone in the middle of the theater and I thought maybe I knew her (she looks like a friend of mine, at least from 100 yards) so I waved back before realizing it probably wasn't me she was waving too...

But I wasn't sure, so I kept looking to see if I knew her while trying to avoid eye contact in case I didn't...

Rather awkward and embarassing for me - gives the impression I'm in the habit of waving to young girls... probably shouldn't have brought it up actually...

b) and you kept waving, even without making eye-contact?
c) go ahead and admit it. (if you let it drop, you have to confess that you are now in the class of men that are officially "invisible" to women in the 18-35 demographic... )

Okay... Here's how to do an avatar.

1) Go to the top of the page and click on "profile"

2) Enter your password in the password box

3) Scroll down to the bottom of that page and then simply enter the URL (the internet address of the image you're using) in the "Link to off-site Avatar" box

If for some reason the image that you want to use is not on the internet already, just e-mail it to me and I'll host it for you. Once done I will e-mail you the link to the image. How's that?

If there was a misunderstanding about whether the picture could be posted, that's one thing.

And to post it as ST SOMEWHERE'S "Hot sister" wasn't maybe the best idea. But what happened next was worse. Several people made off color remarks that I sincerely doubt would have been made to that young lady's face. Remarks that might have been made behind a hand, or whispered in another guy's ear, or while you're in the men's room... the online equivalent would be a PM...

What happened here today in this thread stinks. And while you were man enough to offer an apology, StS, you're not the only one who owes these folks an apology.....

You really got a wonderful privilege to meet Jimmy, and it was great of you to share your experience with everyone here on BuffettNews... I've just been reading all about it the last few days and not saying anything, but I thought I'd tell you that was really cool of you to tell us all about your experience. I have a 12-(and-a-half)year-old son, and he'd have been way too shy to do what you did to meet Buffett and even to tell about it on here. For one thing, he can't type fast enough... So I know you made a real effort to reach out to everyone on BuffettNews. I suspect I'm not the only one who got caught up in your excitement and hasn't even posted anything yet, so I wanted to do so! Thanks again! I hope to see you soon on a DVD! (Someday I will.)
