it's a good thing there hasn't been many big games at Pro Player for the Pats since they have lost 5 out of the last 6 and if Mare could kick off the dirt it would have been 6 out of 6.st.somewhere wrote:Has there ever been a big game at Pro Player Stadium? No what I was saying is championships are won in January not October. A win in October means nothing if you can't win in January (see Pitt. circa 1995, 1998 and 2002phtnt wrote:I've been thinking about this comment and maybe you are right. I mean, just think of all the time and money that would be saved if they did away with the meaningless regular season and just waited until December and had a single elimination playoff series. Not to mention the fact of the major decrease in injuries when half of the teams would only be playing one game a year.BottleofRum wrote: Typical Pitt fan thinking the big games are in OctoberOnly big games playing in October are on the baseball field!
What a great plan!!!!!!
Or were you just trying to put me down?
There is no such thing as a big game in October!

Oh, ok I see your point and undersatnd your opinion even though I don't agree with it. My opinion is that a game doesn't have to be a championship game to be a big game. In my opinion the Cleveland/ Miami game being played as I type this is a big game for both of those teams just because they are playing for pride. But that is just my opinion.BottleofRum wrote:No what I was saying is championships are won in January not October. Or were you just trying to put me down?) . You can lose 1,2 3 or 4 games in October and still play in January but if you lose 1 game in January you are done. Making January Football BIG games!

And I look forward to a Championship game between the Patriots and Steelers in January!!!
