Ajax is one of those bedroom communities to the downtown -- houses all alike with big ugly garages out front. No character.
Parts of Toronto are classy and elegant, on par with the some great cities, and typically, there are parts that are a bit down-at-heel.

Well, to be honest, I'm not a big fan of any town big enough to need a traffic signal...so my views are a bit skewed by that.

20,000 is about 19,500 too many for my tastes. About 150 people in my current hamlet.

It is not really the size of the community that matters, it is the size of the area. AKA 100 mile radius.
