My travel has been very limited. FOr the places I have been, I'd lean towards Boston, being a history buff.

I must concur. I can't really explain it to anybody, but every time I return to Charleston something in my heart tells me it's *my* place. I literally come to tears as I cross over the marshes and see the Ashley river. It's like a homecoming for me.

So yeah, Charleston is my OPH.

I have to agree, Charleston is the place for me. The city is historic and beautiful and it just has a certain feel about it. The surrounding towns are great as well and how can you not love the taste of the PALMETTO brand beer brewed there!!!!!

Montreal is a great party town. went there last year for an awesome bachelor party weekend.

San Fran is a lot of fun.

Memphis. Beale Street rocks.

San Diego. Best weather on earth and the food in Old Town is beyond description.

In no particular order:

Charlotte, NC (my hometown)

Asheville, NC (great vibe, beautiful country)

Ocracoke Village, NC (great place to get away)

Miami, FL (I'll never forget spring break 2002)

Key West, FL (Duh)

Washington, DC & Georgetown area (History & political buff, great spots)

Chapel Hill, NC (Home of the Heels, baby!)

Nashville, TN (Honky Tonks were a blast...and HOT WOMEN!!)

Charleston, SC (Capital of the Old South)

City or Cities vs. towns and/or regions?

Rarotonga isn't really what I would call a city, although it is one of the best places to get away from it all. Lovely place.

Favorite megacity is London
Favorite large city is New Orleans
Favorite medium city is Adana in Turkey
Favorite small city is Gustavia on St. Barths.
Favorite town is Dingle in Ireland

Congrats!! Chatham is awesome.

I am biased to Falmouth since I live there most of the summer. If you're around New or Old Silver Beach feel free to stop by for a drink :pirate:

We found a great bed and breakfast in Falmouth called The Scallop Shell Inn. We've stayed there a couple of times and love it.
