I do like the CD
If you look carefully, you will see that the front of the right rocker is just visible above the sand. The chair appears to be sitting in the surf and as anybody would know that has ever sat in a sand chair on the beach being lapped by waves, it would take approximately 2.2 seconds for the rockers to be buried in the sand, especially if someone were sitting in the chair.
And, for what it's worth......I love the CD!!

The thing that drew me to Buffett's music years ago was that it transformed me to the feeling that I received as a child going to the Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast. Since childhood, ocean breeze, seagulls and salt mist have been a fingerprint to my soul. A costal visit has always healed my mind, body and soul. Buffett's music has been my "mental" costal visit for years.
IMHO the last time Buffett put out new material that "transformed" me to that mental state was FSOTW. MMIM was great however it was basically a greatest hits cd. Lots of GREAT stuff but not much new. LTC just didn't take me there. This cd of Chesney's takes me there. I can mentally transform myself back to the sand, sun and healing of the coast. And it dosn't matter who the performer is - it could have been Barney the Dinosaur performing these songs - it just did it for me.

I still haven't picked up the cd - just been busy. Except for the Barney part, this was the most wonderful explanations for why someone likes the cd that I've seen yet.

Back to the original thread with a few comments.
After the first listen last night of the new Chesney CD I think it will get a lot of play time in my house. A coupe of the songs towards the end really had the Buffett (of the old days) influence and sounded great.
Chesney is not a "wanna-be"... he is a Buffett fan and so who do you think will influence his music...Prince???
Buffett has a ton of influence on country music. Just ask Allan Jackson (twice), Phil Vasser in "Six Pack Summer" and Lonestar mentions "parrotheads" in 2 of their songs.
Actually I am grateful to Chesney because one night about 3 years ago I over heard the lyrics "so that's how Jimmy Buffett feels" and started listening to country music (also) and found a lot of very enjoyable music out there and now I am able to go to more that one concert a year.
Come April 16th our group will be at the Shark Tank in San Jose front row, upper deck (for the 3rd straight time ) watching Jimmy on the stage and the show on the floor

I see...a blue "rocking" chair it is. The A1A cover inspired photo of Kenny C does show the rockers. My apologies to KC...back to your regularly scheduled french kissing life already in progress
