I was flipping thru the channels the other night and came across the CMT countdown of the top 20 stories in country music in 2004 and caught it just as they were saying something about JB. I did not catch the whole thing but they were saying that his new found success and album and how he seems to be mentioned all the time by country stars made him the #10 story of 2004. It looks like the show is on again New Years Eve at 2am. I am going to try and TIVO it. It is always good to see Jimmy getting good press because what I saw was all very good stuff about him.

Robert K Oerman, a country music historian said something along these lines: "Country music needs more Jimmy Buffett. It's about tim they accepted him, and I hope he's here for a long time to come." Or something like that. It was a good segment, very positive.
