(james taylor)

also...he does do a pretty mean cover of....IT'S FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE considering it's SUPPOSE to be Alan's song (although we all know that jimmy did "save alan's stuggling country career")

The songs I listed are on albums, studio and live - at least, the three live albums before the Tiki Time albums. I know he covered Purple Rain and When The Wind Cries Mary but I figured since those live albums are so overdone (so many of them) that the three live albums would suffice. Then again, I did say feel free to update it! And there you go - all the live albums count.

But hey, one day I'll have all the Tiki albums - I have the Hawaii comp and I think it's a fitting album for that tour - the last two stops of the tour on an island that a lot of people associate tiki bars with on one album.

I heard Jimmy play Southern Cross - for the first time in a show according to some people that seem to follow him around - in 1996 at Margaritaville in New Orleans. He was promoting the still not released yet Banana Wind (performed Barefoot Children, Diamond As Big As The Ritz and Jamaica Mistaica from the album). And I also recall the SALT SALT SALT bit occuring there - the first time I had heard it anyway. Who knows where that originated.
