A little riddle

Lets see who comes up with it first.....
76% kindergarden kids got this right and only 17% of stanford seniors got it....
Here it is...
what is greater then God, more evil then the devil, the poor have it, the rich need it, and if you eat it you will die

The riddle has been around for a long time, but there is no evidence that research was ever conducted on the comparative answers of Kindergartners and Stanford University seniors.
There is also no evidence that this was reported on Paul Harvey

One of my readers rightfully pointed out that if you follow the instructions "Send this to 10 people and then press shift and you will get the answer.", then the result will be NOTHING will happen. Which of course, is the answer to the riddle.)
