I Want to Finish my Basement into a Caribbean Paradise!!!

Post by MargaritaMatt »

I am finishing my basement this winter and want to transform it into a Caribbean paradise. Anyone have any tips or pictures of their own or ones they have been too, or any inspirational pictures of to help me out? Thanks!

I finished my basement into a cross between a polynesian island and Key West. Artifacts include framed Jimmy Buffett Albums, my retired 8'2'' oceanside surfboard repainted and stenciled by my wife, tropical paintings and posters, and two paintings by my very talented sister-in-law on the bar itself. I will send some pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it. Good Luck as I had and continue to have a blast doing it.

I should do that with my old basement. It already has a water feature everytime it rains. Did I mention its old?

When I click on that link, I don't see any pictures of a basement on the site, just logos for t-shirts. :-?

tiki torches-take the oil can out, flip it over and hot glue a tealight holder to the can. pop in a tealight and you can keep the "torches" burning whenever. i used orange frosted glass tealight holders so it looks realistic.
