Worked late almost every night this week.
Got to listen to NPR's FRESH AIR on the way home.
THE SPIRAL STAIRCASE - Karen Armstrong.
KISS ME LIKE A STRANGER - Gene Wilder
Judgment Days: Lyndon Baines Johnson, Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Laws that Changed America.
All non-fiction, which I don't usually read, but the author interviews were very compelling.

I don't care for Dorsey. Too much violence for me.
Am reading NIGHT FALL about TWA Flight 800 crash near Long Island in 1996. WOW. Can hardly put it down. HOW did I miss this one when it came out? I love DeMille. Oh, well. Pleasant surprise. I'm headed back to the book.

IF you were ever a Robert Ludlum fan, I highly recommend NIGHT FALL, Nelson DeMille's fictional account of the crash of TWA Flight 800 off Long Island.
Very, very interesting reading. Kept me up until 2:30 this morning.
This man has connections.

I just started reading Three Nights in August by Buzz Bissinger and Tony LaRussa about a three game series in 2003 between the Cards and Cubs told from manager Tony LaRussa's point of view. I'm only a few pages in, but I'm really enjoying it. Bissinger is also the guy who wrote Friday Night Lights.

I agree 100% - I can't remember when I've enjoyed a (non-tropical, related to tropics, florida) book so much. Even if 1/10th of what he wrote is factualy - I'm scared

PERFECT book for Mr. Mojito. I'm going to order for his Father's Day.
Thanks for the tip.

And check out the websites devoted to Fight 800. . . it's amazing. Mr. Mojito is reading it now.

I haven't been to most of those sites. Just realize that any of them that are still trying to say that the Navy accidentally shot down TWA800 (as my brother believes

) are out to lunch.... Why? Because you could NEVER shut up that many sailors. One of those kids making about $20K a year for working his/hre butt off would have, by now, sold their story to the National Enquirer.
