when the SEC gets done with them, it will be alot of trouble. they're the perfect company to make an example of. not a wall st. heavy hitter, but big name recognition..... i'm bettin the SEC throws the book at them.

These days, though, restating financials is not a big shocker as it used to be. I work for a huge publicly held corporation and we've gone through restating several years of financials.

The introduction of several new reporting practices, requirements, and laws regarding how financials are stated have made it challenging for companies to get it right the first time.

Now, I'm not completely sure I entirely know what I'm talking about, but my guess is that because of the Krispy Kreme name that's why it made the news. If it was just some Joe-Blow Company Inc. that was restating, we wouldn't care.

the SEC doesn't consider the KK restatement an "oops me bad" honest mistake. things are pointing to fraud side of the scale.

Wow..even with my Krispy Kreme habit theystill had to cover up..sheesh..I guess a dozen at a time isn't good enough for em..hehe

This is no joke.............. My little sweet cousin Jillian has juvenile diabetes....... We go to a JD Walk every year to raise money for research and many companys & business' donate goods for the day....... I find it crazy to say that I had my first KK donut at a walk for diabetes.........
