Bless his little heart. And the whole family's hearts! One of the worst things about a baby being sick is that they can't tell you what's wrong. And the way they look at you like: "Why aren't you helping me, mommy?" Major phinpower from Tennessee, give his sweet cheeks a kiss for me! He'll be all right soon!

Thank you so much everyone. We're back from our 2nd opinion visit and although we don't have a "cure" we do have some hope!
They drew blood to test for allergies and "other" icky tests for salmonella. We'll know in about a week on the allergies in 1 day on the salmonella. We have a snake which is why she is concerned about that. However, the prognosis is most likely an allergy to milk (which he is already lactose intolerant) so we get to change to soy EVERYTHING. If that doesn't fix it, then back to the doctor for more tests. She also probably said the 3 molars he's cut in the last 3 weeks aren't helping much either and we have a new "tastier" medication for his acid reflux.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. The joys of parenthood.
Thank you so much everyone for your good thoughts. It's nice to know it's probably something simple but I think most mommys and daddys 'round these parts would agree it's so much worse to see your child sick and unhappy than it is to get sick yourself. I really appreciate all your support!

a milk allergy would do it all right, Mal..... All 3 of my boys had to be on soy.... not so bad, and not NEARLY as bad as puking and screaming all the time....

Thanks Jen! I think the poor little dude just got stuck with a whole bunch of stuff happening at once, thus the screaming...and he's got a sensitive tummy anyway, therefore the puking.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:a milk allergy would do it all right, Mal..... I'm just thankful it's nothing worse than it probably is. There are so many children out there that have life way worse than my sweet Baby Tony.

That's what the doc said too, but since we've had so many troubles she's doing it "just in case". We never handle the snake (it's too big) except when Matt feeds her, and it lives in the basement where the kids never go.creeky wrote:I am glad they are doing those tests and you should find out soon.
I doubt it would be the snake - my brother in law is a licensed reptile breeder and they have oodles of snakes and it has never been a problem
(it is a problem to me visiting tho)

What does he feed her? My BIL breeds the "snake food" as well ,,, and has it all nicely packaged in the freezer just like normal every day foodbuffettbride wrote:That's what the doc said too, but since we've had so many troubles she's doing it "just in case". Our snake (named Mojo) likes fresh food, not frozen LOL. I won't let hubby breed snake foodcreeky wrote:What does he feed her?
