I could kill MYSELF also!
I finally got a free airline ticket for my infrequent frequent flyer miles. I decided to go to Sacramento to visit my son. When? February 18th-26th!!! I'll miss ALL the Florida concerts and in particular the Jacksonville one I have waited so long for. Why oh why did I listen to "reliable source" who told me March 8th in Jax???
Waaaaaaa

Gonna dance til I fall!

Is there not a way to reschedule your trip to visit your son?wannabejane wrote:I could kill MYSELF also!I finally got a free airline ticket for my infrequent frequent flyer miles. Re: Question...
When i talked to Jimmy in April 2004 he said he was going to do 2 more concert tours then retire. I said the same thing to him, "i've heard that crap for 10 years" And when i saw in in Orlando for the Hurricane Benifit show, he said " we will see everyone in 2005. We're going out 1 more time!" So unfortunately, i think he is serious about it this time. Hell he deseves a rest.!Bwana Paul wrote:So Crawfish, Sir...where did you hear that?

plus, you don't think with the Sucess of LTC he will keep on touring? Remember, April 2004 was prior to the sucess of LTC.
I bet that what he'll do is eventually make his shows more low key, only tour with the beach band, and keep it sort of in the fashion of how the Coastal Confession show was. That way, he's keeping up with his age. It's probably alot harder for an older person to do the kinds of shows he's doing now, compared to the Coastal Confession type of show.

Tour
Mr. Buffett has been saying he would retire since the "Tales from Margaritaville" book. When Mr. Steve Huntington was interviewed for Tropical Pleasures magazine, he predicted another few decades. And on Radio Margaritaville, Mr. Steve Huntington was interviewing Mr. Jimmy Buffett and he gave it until he was at least 63 years old...which is in 4 years.
In my humble opinion, I do not believe Mr. Jimmy Buffett will stop touring. He will be another Mr. B. B. King. (By the way, Mr. B. B. King is still touring and is 79 years old.) I believe Mr. Buffett is going to keep going...he may take a year off or maybe a year and a half, but the road will call him again and he'll be right back at it. He appears to be unstoppable.
