I have to say that there has been weird weather in my parts...(Washington DC area/USA). Today we had 60+ degree weather. My mother down south... -yes- my mother.... refers to this guy called 'Edgar Casey' (a modern day Nostradomas) who predicted that the northern climes will change into the southern climes... Anyone else have some weird, wild, wacky stuff that's going on n your parts?

And BTW.... if you do a search on Edgar Casey, you'll see some weird, wild wacky stuff too! :-?

Here in SC, it's been unsually warm as well. 60s and 70s since right around New Year's Eve. Our normal high for this time is around 50, which has been our low lately. I'm not complaining about it, but it is kind of weird that this warm spell has lasted so long. I hope we don't pay for it with some freak ice storm or something later in the winter.

Checkin' in from northeastern Massachusetts here and it's been as expected in this quadrant of the country... 25-30 degrees and snowing like hell. In the midst of another 6-8 inches as I type.

His last name is spelled Cayce, but pronounced the way you write it.

Yup, SC weather is right up my alley. I don't even want to know how those y***ees do it up north in the snow and ice. I'd freeze my redneck a** off.

In Minneapolis and the suberbs we have had only 2.8 inches of snow and it is suppose to rain tomorrow.
What the heck is going on up here. There is still some golf courses open if you can believe that.

Yes in January. I just wish it would snow or do something. Cannot go sledding or skating out side. With no snow the dirt blows around and get's on the ice. Only about 6 more weeks though until March then we are officially over the winter hump.

Hundreds of Vehicles Stuck in Calif. Snow

LOS ANGELES - As many as 200 vehicles got stuck in deep snow early Saturday in the San Bernardino Mountains as the latest in a series of storms struck California. The storms quickly moved eastward, closing all three major highways over the Sierra Nevada.

Snow piled up 3 to 4 feet deep along a 15-mile stretch of highway between the Snow Valley ski resort and Big Bear d*m, said Tracey Martinez, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County fire department.

"People were panicking and calling 911 on their cell phones," Martinez said. "It's going to take us awhile to get all the folks out of there."

No injuries were reported as rescue crews used tracked vehicles to pick up the snowbound motorists in the mountains about 90 miles east of Los Angeles.

Up to 15 inches of snow were reported in parts of Colorado's San Juan Mountains, as well, adding to the 19 inches dumped earlier this week by storms. The new snow delighted skiers, but made driving treacherous, with winds gusting near 60 mph on snowpacked, icy roads above 8,000 feet.

(Edgar)... What's up???? :o

It's obviously the end of the world :o It got to 60 here in Richmond and calling for mid-70s midweek. Weird but I'm not bitchin' :P Read an article in our paper today that said about an hour after the earthquake that caused the tsunami, water levels in a well in Va. rose and fell 3 feet :o
