I Love This "When will Jimmy announce..." Time of

I love this time of year when everyone is guessing on when Jimmy will be where. And announcing dates that will be announced and everyone wondering when they will be official. Just reminds me that spring isn’t to far away and helps the winter go a little faster. Also, when did they release the summer tour dates the last two years? If I remember correctly, last year was all screwed up with the way they announced things, so when was it the year before?

Hmmm lemme see. I know the Denver show in 2004 was announced in February. Tix went on sale the first or second week of April. Concert was May 18th. That gave me about 7 weeks to plan my wedding.

The year before that the Denver show was April 24th. I think the concert was also announced sometime in Feb or March as I gave the tix to hubby for his B-day on April 2.

Usually if you keep your ear to the pavement, you can get the inside info a few days before the big announcement. I remember last year I only had a few weeks to prepare myself. Columbia is usually at the beginning of the tour, so it hits me pretty fast.

It is always fun to see all the people who know someone who lives with someone that books the shows in some city to get the latest gossip. Makes me start to ponder my own Kevin Bacon links to Jimmy.

I recall last years show was in April... and it was February before we even heard about it..... Tampa always is in February.... usually on my b'day weekend!! At least its been that way for 10 + years! This year its on the 26th.......... I WILL TAKE IT!!

I remember February/March time frames. I always go in July, 3rd to be exact the past two years. I do love this time of year too!

My six ways to Jimmy:

Was his limousine driver in the early '80's in Seattle (have a couple fun stories)
Quit the limousines but would still go back stage during his shows while I was still living in Seattle (Connections), shook his hand a couple times.
By now I was a pilot...and he's a pilot! **Connection!!**
Met Tina, once briefly, in the '90's. Fell in love and decided she was going to be my girlfriend.
Shortly realized that would never happen, she very quickly became my former future girlfriend. I wonder if she knows???
