We have a young man who lives nearby and his nickname is LUGNUT! He's young, dumb and full of c**. He's received three citations for driving naked, been caught twice w/married women, and has wrecked six trucks all in the last six months.semitruths wrote:halfpint6924 wrote:I should have phrased that differently I KNOW LUGS AND I KNOW NUTS!semitruths wrote:halfpint6924 wrote:I know lug nuts!buffettbride wrote:Thanks halfpint. I don't know squat about lug nuts.
So you know there are 2 right answers to that question unless you factor in SUV's ..... then there are 3.

I too got 18, but I dispute the above answer. I don't wear men's shirts, but all of my buttons are on my left, which would mean the answer is "right"BottleofRum wrote:13. On which side of a women's blouse are the buttons? (If looking at it)
13. Left

Re: Common Knowledge Quiz
The real trivia is why buttons are that way for women and not for men. It's because women used to be dressed by their servants whereas men dressed themselves. The majority of people are right-handed so in theory it's easier to have the button on the right and the hole on the left for whomever is doing the buttoning.Tiki Bar wrote:I too got 18, but I dispute the above answer. I got 20. I missed.......
3. In which hand is the Statue of Liberty's torch? (If looking from behind)
(I totally didn't pay attention to "from behind")
4. What six colors are on the classic Campbell's soup label?
(I was only one color off: green instead of gold)
7. How many matches are in a standard pack?
(If you know this, you've got too much free time on your hands)
9. What is the lowest number on the FM dial?
(I said 87, oh so close!)
10. Which way does water go down the drain, counter or clockwise?
12. How many channels are on a VHF T.V. dial?
(This is discriminatory against those of us that have never had one)
15. What is on the back of a dime?

Gave this quiz to my family last night. My son broke out his microphone and amp and became "The Game Show Host". We had a blast. I heard "Is that your final answer?" "You are the weakest link" "The answer is..." and lots of music from my ever so talented son.
Hubby-20 right
Daughter (16 years old)-22 right
Son (20 years old)-19 right.
Now, when asked the question "How many sides are on a stop sign?" my husband replied "Two" Two????? His reasoning.."Yeah, a front side and a back side."
When asked which Dwarf was missing, my daughter replied "The 7th. Dwarf and Snow White."
My son asked what a "VHF DIAL" was!!!!!!!!!!!
