The weather people say that the weather here in Charlotte on Saturday is supposed to be either snow, sleet, hail, or cold and rainy. In other words, it will probably be nice and sunny. Who knows? Watch the weather, if it is nasty, people here have no idea how to drive in it. Might be worth the $10 to go to your local Hecht's. Heck, if it's nasty, I might pay you to get my tix![/quote]
Same here in Roanoke, all the normal scare tactic crap the weathermen give to drive milk and bread sales up at the grocery store lol. The 6pm news said anything from cloudy and cold saturday to a full out snow/ice storm. This is the second year in a row the day buffett tickets go on sale for charlotte a snow storm is forcasted. It was in the 60's/70's here 3 weeks in a row so I know we are doomed to get hit.

Since I moved here, I have always wondered why bread and milk disappears. Do southerners eat milk sandwiches to survive snow storms?

I remember it well, last year the city was closed down Thursday and Friday before they went on sale and Saturday we were standing in knee-deep snow at the coliseum before the plows got there.
p.s. you could use some assistance quoting people.

I grew up in the South and still don't undertand that. I'm guessing for cereal and sandwiches because they require no cooking. However, if I'm going to be snowed in I would prefer something that won't go bad; liquor, beer, canned foods, etc....

The weather forcast for tomorrow is a icy/snow mix starting sometime early and changing back and forth between the two all day long, hopefully I can get to Hecht's and back home before it either hits or gets too bad. Snow isn't that bad to drive in but I draw the line at ice. Everyone be safe tomorrow getting your tickets.

The show in Charlotte last year was great. Good luck to all you Parrotheads out there in the Carolinas in scoring tickets for the show. Wish it was on a Saturday, but we had a Sat. show last year, so hump day it is this year.
See you all on Feb 16

Hey, good luck to everyone tomorrow. Hope everyone gets decent seats!
I have to think it will be easier than the annual Camden crush we're used to up here.
We're flying in for the day on our way back from a FL vacation - it will be our 1st time in Charlotte - hope to crash someone's parking lot party! (We'll be low on supplies - Maybe just a styrofoam ice chest, a flask, and some colorful shirts...but our attitude is good).

Tom,
There is a shopping center about 2 miles from the coliseum (follow NC 49 south) that has a liquor store, bi-lo, wal-mart supercenter, mcdonalds, chick-fil-a, qdoba, chinese buffet, chili's, sub shop, and a pizza joint. besides that, you will pass a bojangles on the way. If you can't find what you need by then, check into a hotel, you are too messed up!

At the last concert, we to the coliseum even before the time the website said they would be opening the parking lot and they let us in. There are sections of grass that divide some of the lots and we set up our party there, less heat, etc. We had a great time. Meet lots of great people. Just not any Buffettnews people yet. Hopefully this time!!!!!!!!!

Finally I didn't get screwed by ticketmaster section 240 Row A and to top it off seats 1 and 2 thank goodness! If the weather is tricky god forbid, I shouldn't have much a problem selling my tickets. Hopefully everyone else for charlotte is happy with their seat locations.
Just got a room at the days inn on sunset road off I-77 for 24.63 for a king non smoking and free breakfast. Not too bad at all if you ask me, see everyone in charlotte
