I think it will depend on the weather. Hopefully we will NOT be having the kind of weather we are having today. Like I said before, the coliseum's website said you couldn't get in the parking lot until some time in the afternoon but last year we were in hours before without any problems. If it would be bad weather, I'm thinking the party at Jocks and Jills will be the place to be. I just can't wait. I got my tickets in the mail yesterday!!!!!!!!!!

I just got this from the Parrot Head Club in Charleston....
For those of you going to the Charlotte concert, please be aware that the coliseum STOPS SERVING ALCOHOL at intermission. And North Carolina is extremely picky with DUIs.
Have a good time!!!

Definitely be careful after the show driving home, you can drive like nascar drivers on I-85 and I-77 and your fine but get caught driving drunk your screwed. I was shocked to see how many people got pulled over and arrested on my way home from the Redskins/Panthers game a year and a half ago. My wifes family lives in the Bostic/Shelby/Rock Hill area and they open you with open arms they will also march your tail to jail for drinking and driving. Thats my PSA for the month

Not much longer before the Charlotte concert! Has anyone called the coliseum to find out what time the parking lot will open for sure? My sister called and the girl said she thought they would open at 4:00, but she didn't sound very sure. Last year it opened at 2:30. Traffic will be a nightmare if they wait too late to open the parking lot. Also, can we get another head count on who's going? I'll be there!

This sounds like the plan!!!
Last year we had a great time doing the tailgate thing in the Amerisuites parking lot. However, if the weather turns bad then Jocks And Jills will be the place to be! We are looking to get there about 1:00 PM, with the first Corona top coming off at 1:01 PM.

Leaving at 7am from Roanoke on Wednesday morning, should hit charlotte around 11, going to concord mills first and then check into the hotel. Should be at the Coliseum around 3ish.
I got personalized Parrothead plates that say MDRARE think I have a chance to make the highlight video?

Like most others, we're staying at Amerisuites.
Just planning on circling the Amerisuites lot, Jocks N Jills, and the Arena parking lot around 1pm and seeing where everyone shows up!
Since we're flying in, the morning will be spent buying and icing down booze.
Hoping for good weather....
