You are not going to recognize this city! So much has changed in 20 years (heck so much changes in a year around here!) I know you can usually do better shopping your own airfare and hotel than what these "packages" provide....but if you find the right deal, I'd say go for it. Just try to get in early on Friday night.....the pre-party put on by our Las Vegas club is a lot of phun and you don't want to miss it! :D

In Dallas, AB made sure a big ol tupperware of baking soda wasn't mistaken for anything else. "Don't nobody sniff this......this here is baking soda!"

Pre-party plans are being developed at this time....but it will take place at Tommy Rockers....probably starting at 6pm Friday. Las Vegas own Conched Out will play along with other entertainment.....guests in previous years have included Mike Utley, Robert Greenidge, Amy Lee, and Doyle Grisham.....along with other Buffett themed entertainment including Sunny Jim, John Frinzi, Koko Loco, Unkle Monkey, and others. It's a great time and the perfect way to start the weekend...hope you can make it!

The club party was only held on before the show on the 16th last October (too much work to plan two events!). It's down the street from where you were at Tommy Rockers and is much bigger....typically draws about 400 parrotheads every year and an awesome time is had by all!

Four Play brought my freezer to the tailgate - the baking soda was to make it smell fresh as it had not been in operation all year. And if you think bringing a freezer to a tailgate is not normal, you need to party with Four Play! Someone from Arkansas brought the moonshine and passed it around. You should've seen their eyes when I whipped out that Texas-sized bowl of powder! :o :wench:  Nobody saw the oregano 8)

Hey SpainJane - we met at Alpine last year! Good to see that you are coming out this way :)

Snowparrot - It only hurts for a little while (and nobody will care if you're a granny - Jimmy could be a granpa if Savannah wanted)

This was exactly my thought as well! I'm staying Friday through Monday and was quoted a rate of $410 including tax for the three night stay.

I also saw that the Tropicana (across the street from MGM) was around $117 per night (again, my rates include Sunday Night).

I'm playing the Priceline Game with the Bellagio/Venetian, but unless I can find a MUCH better deal, I'm planning staying in the hotel with the Margaritaville Cafe!
