Columbia

Columbia here I come!!! That is where I am going to see Jimmy this year. My guess is that he will show up at Margaritaville, Myrtle Beach sometime between the Columbia and Charlotte dates...I'm marking my calender. Looks like I will finally go broke this February. Anyone else planning on getting tickets for Columbia?
Sunset Beach is my Margaritaville. Where there is endless beach, no time, and sunshine that seems to last forever. I know that Someday I Will.....Someday.

Hey, SS. Keep me posted on any rumors about Marg. Myrtle Beach. I'm hoping he'll shoot over that way. I don't think he's been there yet, has he?

Nope hasnt been there yet...trust me, I've been checking up on it. There is a very strong chance he will be visiting between the two Carolina dates...heck, wouldnt you if you were Buffett?

I'm going to try to go to both the Columbia and Charlotte concerts, as long as I'm able to get tickets to both through ticketmaster. I would love to know of any rumors of Jimmy being in Myrtle Beach also. I could be there in a couple of hours, depending on how fast I drive and how many cops I see!?!

Columbia or Jacksonville... which will it be? It would be our third Cola. in three years, and my fifth total, but Jax is closer... gotta decide!

The Carolinas are better! So would anyone want to try and throw a Buffett News tailgate in Columbia? You know, try and get noticed by Buffett by wearing BuffettNews shirts and all...causing lots of racket in the parking lot?

We wore our BuffettNews lanyards and nametags at last April's show in Columbia, and didn't see another soul with them on. Maybe you'll have better luck this year!

Hola Buffett fans,

A pre-concert party has been scheduled for the Columbia show on Feb. 17th. The
party will be held in the Frank McGuire Room in the Colonial Center from 6:30
until the start of the concert. You must have a concert ticket to attend the
party as well as a ticket to the party (click the link below for the
ticket-ordering page). A tasty Buffett buffet will be provided along with beer
and wine service. The entertainment for the evening will be Charlotte's own Rum
Punch Bandits along with a special guest or two (yo Stan!) The 15,000 square
foot McGuire Room overlooks the stage in the Colonial Center and will be decked
out with cool PH ice sculptures, and party favours and leis will be given away.
This party has sold out each of the past two years so get your tickets, get them
early and we hope to see ya there.

FYI regarding Columbia....from the Colonial Center website. Tix are $65, $55 and $31...

Stood up and tried to focus,
I hoped I wouldn't have to look far.
I knew I could use a Bloody Mary,
So I stumbled next door to the bar.

I was really hoping for a April or May show, but just glad he is coming.

It was a long 18 years without Jimmy playing Columbia. Of course back when he and Janey were first together, he managed to get here quite often. I wonder why? :P

WARNING: Unless you have a really crappy set up in the parking lot, this party wasn't worth the money. IMHO. 8) I had a ton more fun at my own tailgate than I did at the party. :D I believe the cost to get in was around $40 (plus the cost of your ticket as explained above) so you're looking at around $120 invested. This is on top of all the other expenses i.e. parking, food (before party) booze, the enevitabe t-shirt purchase, and the list goes on. I don't know about everyone else but I'm not made of money. All things considered, I think your best bet is to party in the lot and skip the "pre-show party". Unless that's your thing. :o
