I love Clive Cussler's novels. I just hope that they do a better job with Sahara then they did with Raise the Titanic. That was a very sad adaptation of a book.

I thought they could have picked a better story than Sahara to start this franchise. RTTitanic was horrible. They could a much better job with todays technology.

After watching the trailer I think that they have modified the story and left honest Abe out of it. It sounds like they are hunting for a treasure of gold coins that were smuggled out of the CSA in the closing days of the Civil War. This suggests to me that the film doesn't follow the book too closely however I will still go to see it, if for no other reason then to hope that it is better then RTT.
