I have some interesting news...our local radio station was doing a live broadcast today and they had a drawing for 2 tickets to Buffett at Alpine this summer. After hearing this on the radio, I called the station and mentioned that we are all assuming that their will be no show at Alpine this year so how do you have tickets??!! The dj stated that if the station is giving tickets away in a drawing than the sales dept. already has a confirmation that Buffett is playing at Alpine!
I have also left a message in the main office to see if anyone can verify this information. Don't give up hope yet....!!

Interesting to say the least....I assume you live in the Wisconsin area?
I have not entirely given up hope myself, as I recall purchasing tickets to Alpine in April before, and that's with a very short notice.

Tonight I ended up going over to the restaurant that had the live broadcast and if what I hear is correct, there will be an Alpine show this summer. The radio station said that Buffett is definitely playing Alpine, Budweiser donates tickets to the station and it is supposedly already confirmed. I sure hope they know what they are talking about...alot of people attended this to get their name in this drawing, no concert..no tickets...alot of upset people!
