A VERY reliable source tells me 7/30 is still on. They were waiting till after Wrigley sold out, which, as we all know it did, to finalize plans.
Again, nothing confirmed, but for what it's worth I am planning for the day.
Oh, what's a parrothead to think these days!!!!!!!
While it is true, that the ticket selling strategy you describe is valid, and has been used to help move tickets in Chicago in the past, how long did it take to sell out Wrigley on both dates????? Somewhere between 20 and 45 minutes.
Likewise, you would also notice a meaningful gap between DMB (July 23/24) and Ozzfest (August 6) on Alpine's schedule.....so your theory still holds.
However, while this isn't rock-solid logic, one of Jimmy's Coral Reefers, Peter Mayer, is already booked that night.....Gen Stanton Inn Music Fest
Charlestown, RI....check out

Glad to still see the optimism! Let's discuss it again on July 31st.
