New at Alpine Valley for 2005

Hi All:

Just wanted to give you guys an update on things from Alpine Valley. This year, Clear Channel Entertainment has a new president that is focused on the fan experience at all CC shows. We are looking at all aspects of the fan experience to be sure that your concert-going experience is a good one. So, here are some changes for the upcoming season that I hope you will appreciate:

-16oz. domestic draft beers for $5
-Food will be allowed into the venue (in non-glass containers, etc.)
-Backpacks (when searched) will be allowed into the venue for most shows (depending on band policy)
-Blankets will be allowed into the venue for most shows (depending on band policy)
-There will be a dedicated Fan Experience staff of 25 people at Alpine to monitor everything from bathroom cleanliness, to the availability of condiments at concession stands to the temperature of beer being poured to be sure that your experience is a good one
-A limited number of lower priced lawn tickets for most shows

Of course, Buffett is our strictest show with the strictest band policies, so me may have to restrict things based on their wishes. But, we are really trying to step it up another notch to be sure you will come back to Alpine again, and again, and again!

We also have our web developers on the new interactive seating map that I promised at the end of last season and expect it to be released in mid-March. It will be in a new section of the Alpine website. Also, I will be posting some new great overhead and cool shots of Alpine to the site as well throughout the pre-season. Check out these for a few preview shots:

Mr Momma and I are hoping to make our virgin voyage to Alpine this year. What do we need to know?? I've tried reading the volumes from last year, but down and dirty what's the best way to "DO" Alpine??

Thanks
Steph (MommaPH)
Welcome Steph!!
What they are referring to is www.volcanoexpress.com

I'm hoping to take that route this year as well - makes for an easy yet enjoyable experience. Arrive in Janesville Friday - stay at the Best Western (or 1 of the handful of neighboring hotels) - Parrothead ball Friday night with GREAT music... then Saturday, a caravan of busses leaves from the BW parking lot to Alpine, HOPEFULLY EARLIER THIS YEAR, and includes ticket, food, beer, WOP (not sure what that is), more great live music, and a big ol bunch of people from BuffettNews.

I'm not speaking from experience, but I think it's 1 of the best for sure!
