Food always works ... and we normally have ours in "two sittings" - split the office in two so that not too many at each one, and our business still keeps running.buffettbride wrote:Wow Creeky! That is a great idea and probably more reasonable for the pholks around here. We easily have enough space to do a buffet style breakfast or lunch and I work in an office so they'll do ANYTHING for food!creeky wrote:I dont know if it would be just the 15-20 people involved or others would be once you organise
but I have had where we organise a lunch or morning tea at work.
The team of 15 people provide the food - ie they cook their specialty dish and the others get to come along and eat it - and pay a small amount (say 5.00) to eat it ... a cheap lunch when you think about it!
People could bring appetisers ... mains and desserts ...
most people dont mind paying for food!
Nice!
It also is a good "healthy site initiative" in getting everyone together to eat and you all get that warm and fuzzy feeling for doing something good!
And we market ours as "food cooked from the heart" - ie, no one is allowed to go buy the stuff - unless it is the bread rolls - which you get the single guys to get!

You're too funny. I think that just might work and everyone here would totally go for it. Minimal effort. Maximum impact.
And I can make cheesecake!
of course - you need a co-ordinator to co-ordinate the food to make sure there is a good mix of food and you dont have 20 cheesecakes

I am the coordinator so I'm sure we wouldn't have to many mix ups.

No, pineapple cheesecake is just fine. It just doesn't belong on anything warm...creeky wrote:It would be if they were all pineapple cheesecakesrednekkPH wrote:Like that would be a bad thing...creeky wrote:of course - you need a co-ordinator to co-ordinate the food to make sure there is a good mix of food and you dont have 20 cheesecakes![]()
