there is a strip club near me that holds topless car washes a couple times a year to raise money for charity. My wife doesn't let me support the cause though.

That's too bad Tim. Heck, hubby and I would offer to take the whole family's car in for a wash.

but I have had where we organise a lunch or morning tea at work.
The team of 15 people provide the food - ie they cook their specialty dish and the others get to come along and eat it - and pay a small amount (say 5.00) to eat it ... a cheap lunch when you think about it!

People could bring appetisers ... mains and desserts ...

most people dont mind paying for food!
Wow Creeky! That is a great idea and probably more reasonable for the pholks around here. We easily have enough space to do a buffet style breakfast or lunch and I work in an office so they'll do ANYTHING for food!

Nice!
Food always works ... and we normally have ours in "two sittings" - split the office in two so that not too many at each one, and our business still keeps running.

It also is a good "healthy site initiative" in getting everyone together to eat and you all get that warm and fuzzy feeling for doing something good!

And we market ours as "food cooked from the heart" - ie, no one is allowed to go buy the stuff - unless it is the bread rolls - which you get the single guys to get!

  You're too funny. I think that just might work and everyone here would totally go for it. Minimal effort. Maximum impact.

And I can make cheesecake!

EXACTLY! you get to make what is easy for you ...

of course - you need a co-ordinator to co-ordinate the food to make sure there is a good mix of food and you dont have 20 cheesecakes
