Columbia, SC Pre Sale

Post by conchfritter »

There are rumors that there is a pre-sale to the Colmbia, SC show on 2/23. In other words, you can get tickets before the General Public on-sale date of 1/22. Does anyone have any details about this? I have a call into the Colonial Center to see if I can get more details. I will share if I here anything but if anyone knows more about this please reply...Thanks!!

The only time I've been able to get pre-sale tickets was when he was playing with someone else (e.g. Alan Jackson & George Strait). And that was through Alan's fan club allotment.

Yes there is definitely a columbia presale, got an email about it yesterday, you have to fax in an order form, it says they are for the "best" seats in the Colonial Center, and they are $91 a piece......so as always, i bit, and am hoping for close floor seats

unfortunately i cant help the cause, though, b/c i also have gotten rid of the email already

I just signed up for the Colonial Center Cyber Club this morning. I then called the ticket office and they said that because I just signed up today that I would not be getting the information regarding the Buffett pre sale. I asked if they could just provide me with the info over the phone and they said they could not help me. Very much appreciated!!

If anyone still has the e-mail or the fax or anything that might help please let me know.
Thanks everybody for your help. Phins up!

that sucks, i'm curious as to the response to the presale, i've always seen presales as internet things, having to fax in an order form is interesting

there was a presale for Anaheim last year. the tickets were about $125, and while they were okay seats (first level up, midway back), they weren't floor, they weren't great, and I didn't think they were worth the extra cash. the only thing it *did* do was guarantee that you got in the door without the stress of the 10:00 Saturday on-sale rush.

From the Colonial Center Cyber Club FAQ...

What are the advantages of ordering my tickets through the presale offer? By ordering your tickets through the Cyber Club presale offer, you will have access to “premium” seating before tickets go on sale to the general public. You will also avoid waiting in lines and competing against many others for great seats.

Where will my tickets be through the presale offer? Generally “premium” seating locations are held for presale orders in the lower level. However, this is also at the discretion of the band, act and/or show management for each event.

I just called the Colonial Center, and they told me that there have been thousands of orders (i'm assuming he was exaggerating a bit) faxed in already. He did confirm, though, that there are floor seats that are being sold in the group. Of course, he didnt know how many, and the rest are lower bowl. Of course this has me concerned, now, as i was hoping for floor. I did fax in my order about 8:30 yesterday morning, so i'm hoping i'm good...

This is exactly why I gave up long ago this whole madness of trying to get online and hoping for decent seats. For a few extras bucks, I wait until the tickets are sold, contact a ticket broker and get to pick my seats and decide if they are worth the asking price. It is amazingly less hassle for just about $150.00 extra bucks. As an old man, we got to few things anymore so we make it worth it! (Works for football also..lol)

I can help with some info on the presale for the Colonial Center. What it is that they put tickets for the presale on sale for section on the floor, last year it was around the first 10 rows. Also they sell two sections that are close to the floor in the lower level. That is all they do. All the other tickets in the lower bowl and upper levels are put on sale to the public. I was able to get tickets through the presale last year and was about 4 rows up from the floor. I got the email this year also and hopefully will get as good as last year. I will though maybe have 4 extras for sale and will put them on here if I do for face value. Need any extra info feel free to ask.

That's a little bit of a relief. I was starting to worry there wouldn't be any tickets left on the 22nd for sale to the public with all this "pre-sale" crap going on.

I had pre-sale to the Target Center last year. All it does is guarantee you a seat at an inflated price. I bit and got 8. When the on-sale happened I ordered 8 more and actually got better seats for $25 less per seat. I then sold the original's I bought in the pre-sale for face what I paid and got to sit in better seats. Buy them not for the best seat in the house but so you are in the door and not shut out.
