Wayne - I hope you are writing down the recipes for the shots. Don't want to try recreating them during a drink induced "fog".
Especially in tiny hotel kitchen.

The Tiki Bar evite is out, if you are not on the list, send me your email and we will add you to the list. No idea what the Tiki Bar evite is???? Well, scroll back a few pages and read all about it or just look at the pick. A voice spoke to me in my backyard and said "Build it, and they will drink!" So a lot of money and a lot of blisters later, we have a 200sqft Tiki Bar in the backyard, and yes the marriage is in tact.

Hey Guys .... been to Las Vegas with all the keets. I am so sorry to hear to hear about your problems, Kathy. I'm in a "cam walker", and have been since I cracked a bone in my foot before Xmas. I am so tired of it, and yet know that I must endure it in order to heal to heal. (Nothing better than stomping through Vegas in a pneumatic boot)! About a month ago, I thought I was all healed ( cause it had stopped hurting), and without the approval of my Dr, took off the boot and went for a long walk. Big mistake ... I re-cracked the bone. Now I will be wearing the boot for another month, and also doing electrical therapy. That's interesting, and if any of you want to hear about it, let me know ... I pray it helps, as I am so tired of all this stuff, and need the physical activity to help me heal from my emotional stuff.

Wow Betty, I can't imagine clomping thru Vegas in that boot.
Sorry to hear about your foot, sounds like you have been thru a lot too.
Given all the problems I am having getting around right now, and the long term aspects of my healing, I am really wondering if I will be able to go to the concert. I don't want to be slowing everyone down, and really don't know how I will handle all the walking and stairs and stuff. I can pretty much tell that the doc I am seeing now would forbid me to go...we'll have to see what the doc I end up with when I get back to Stockton will say. I have a couple referrals, hopefully I can get in to see a good one.

No worries, the concert still over a month away. You can sit at the concert, you can sit at a bar (FF's Tiki perhaps), you're staying at the Arena where you can sit in a suite. We can take a taxi to and from the venue and I'll be right next to you at the concert to fetch you drinks and help you get around. I imagine the arena has wheelchair access to all levels so stairs won't be a problem.
You're going to have a great time in San Jose with lots of fun BNers who love you! Use that as the carrot to get you through all the pain you're going through now.

Lynn and PP...I'm not saying that I'm not going for sure...but I'm old enough to know that I can't jeopardize my recovery on a concert, not to mention the fact that there is also a lawsuit riding on all this. There are a lot more factors than just being a burden.
I really want to go...it breaks my heart to even think that I might not be able to go...but I have to do what is right, whether I like it or not.
Luckily I don't have to make a decision right away.

Kathy - Just think about what John said. That is all I want. I would never intentionally do anything that would jeopardize you or your recovery. Forgive me if I came across any differently.

I knew what you meant, Lynn, no worries.ladyparrothead wrote:Kathy - Just think about what John said. That is all I want. I would never intentionally do anything that would jeopardize you or your recovery. Forgive me if I came across any differently.
I just wanted folks to remember that there will be a lawsuit..and I can't risk losing that by attending a concert, know what I mean? If the catastrophic leave doesn't get approved I am really up the creek, so that lawsuit will be vital to paying for my lost wages, bills etc. I'm sure going to a JB concert wouldn't be looked upon favorably if they found out. I've never been thru anything like this before, so I am just trying to cover all my bases. Maybe it won't even make a difference or matter, but it would be irresponsible of me not to consider it.
Maybe I can get a doctor's note saying seeing JB is vital to my recovery.

So sorry to hear about your injuries. Hope you both recover fully and quickly. I need a knee replacement, so maybe the three of us ought to rent wheelchairs and have a race from the Arena to the Shark Tank!
Although I suppose it's probably against the law to operate a wheel chair in public while I'm intoxicated.........maybe I can talk one of my kids into being the designated wheeler.....
Hope to see yall in about a month!
