I posted that earlier...here's an update. WALKING SUX!!!!Well, all that milk I drink really must do some good, because he said the bones are healing really nicely. I now have a little walking shoe on my cast and I need to put as much weight on it as possible for the next two weeks......THEN THE CAST COMES OFF ON THE 21st!!
Walking is realllllly awkward tho, since the cast isn't flat on the bottom I kinda roll. He said pain will be my guide, if I can walk without the crutches then I need to, but if not, keep using them for balance and some weight bearing. I really don't walk very well without them.
When the cast comes off I will go back on the crutches for awhile, since the leg will be really weak. I guess at that point we will deal with the ligaments. So I might get to go back to work earlier than expected, although I have a week off at the end of the month and I might just take it so I can get caught up on things.
I think this means I can take a shower without any help from Mom now...wooohoooo!!!!
It really is more of a hobble...not sure if it is because my foot is at the wrong angle i the cast, or that it's not flat on the bottom (even with the walking shoe) or that the height of the cast prevents anything but baby steps. I walked back and forth thru the length of the house 2 1/2 times and that pretty much killed me, the pain is back. But I will do a little more each day and always have the crutches handy. It's gonna require a lot of help from you guys...I'm sorry about that...but if you're willing to put up with me I am willing to endure a little pain and awkwardness to be with you guys!

I have decided to travel to San Jose for the big show next Sat and am very excited....I was just wondering if anyone could tell me more about the stadium, and will there be tailgating.....I am not familiar with the area at all and I am taking my fiance for his first Buffett experience so I am hoping to do the full effect!!! Some of you may know this, but there is absolutely no tailgaiting allowed at the Shark tank or in nearby adjacent parks in San Jose. In an almost 11th hour effort, we got in touch with some sources at the Tank yesterday, and they said San Jose's "No open flame, no open container" policy will be in full effect for the show.
Further, in my communication with Tres Gringos, which has been difficult, the most current update is that are having a private party hosted by Bartons (corona, pacifico, modelo, etc). I'm working on finding out more, I find it hard to believe myself. In fact, I was the one that emailed them with the idea to contact Barton's in the first place. I will post as soon as I find out official details, and if and how we can get on the guest list.
I know someone who owns a building and parking lot in downtown adjacent to some bars, so it is not out of the question we may set up a tailgate there, stay tuned...
