Is there a secret to getting good seats with TM?

I don't get it. This is the 5th JB concert I've bought online tickets from Ticketmaster. I'm logged in at 9:45 and continually refreshing for a 5 minute countdown to T-time. I'm in at precisely 10:00 and selecting best available, any price. By 10:00:20, I've got six seats and those best available seats are eight rows up in upper Section 214???? So.......
15,000 fellow Parrotheads got in before me?? I must be doing something wrong. Same thing at Vegas in October and every other time I go with TM.
There has got to be a better way.....oh how I yearn for the 70's when JB just played the Honky Tonks and Bars. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get over it when the party begins on April 16. Just wanted to get my daughter better seats for her birthday.
I booked two rooms at the Arena last week at $99 and needed another today, so it is now same room for $119. Guess they figured out that Buffett is coming to town.

PirateParrot:
You know I tried that once for Vegas I think, and it came up none available, then I had to go back thru the selection process again and ended up with nose-bleed seats about as far away as one can get.
would seem that "best available" would mean just that....but I never met anyone that actually liked Ticketmaster. Wonder why Jimmy uses them? Seems with his marketing expertise, he would cut the middle guy out.
You know anyone that got floor seats to San Jose? I wonder if Shark season ticket holders got preference?

Jimmy doesn't have much choice in the matter....Ticketmaster usually has the contracts with the venues and its an exclusive deal. Pearl Jam tried to do a concert without Ticketmaster a few years ago....but had to use mainly second class or remotely located venues to pull it off.
Anyways....I'm not making it to San Jose (only Vegas and Anaheim)....but thought I'd pop in here and say hi. You making it to Vegas pirateparrot? How bout you jeepgirl? Hope to see you guys down here on the 9th!

Well after going thru the TM hoops, I ended up in Section 228, Row 5. Not exactly what I wanted but it will do. They must be holding back some of the seats like the Vegas show.
If anyone has a single in the same area I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands since a certain someone told me thay wanted to go after I already purchased the tickets!
Anyone have an Arena Hotel list going? Just curious how many will be there.
