Wow, what a weekend! Emotions were flowing, and so was the booze. I was more restrained than usual because of my uncle's situation.
* For those who don't know, he had an aneurism that caused two hemorrhages in his brain. One was still bleeding a bit, and the surgeons were to attempt a procedure to correct this. We spent 8 hours waiting in the ICU waiting room at UCSF. The procedure was put off over and over again, but then when performed, went flawlessly. He is doing fine and in good spirits. One more procedure, and then up to three weeks in the hospital await him. He had a lot of support from his family, and from all of you who knew.
For this, I thank you profusely. You are all Parrotheads of the finest feather.
At the urging of my family, I was told to go ahead and go to the show. That and the fact that we had so many people in the waiting room the nurses were fearing for their lives!
I went to the show, and the first thing I saw coming into San Jose and turning onto Alameda was a caravan of BN'ers led by the scariest looking bald Santa I ever saw!

(especially for a Bronco fan, which prolly makes him the craziest Santa ever!)

Spotted BEG in her fancy chair, and Jen as well!
I brought two friends to SJ to take advantage of the tix the wife and I had spoken for (thanks again PepeT.Pirate!) So now I had to find a ticket. After about two minutes in front of the arena, scored Floor off a scalper for $50! (sat next to the guy he bought it off...him and his bud talked the whole time, and knew NONE of the songs! Oh, well.

)
Got in, and de-escalated a developing situation between...get this...A Chi-Sox fan and a Cubbie fan! They were gonna fight over friggin' baseball!! Morons.......
What a show!!!!!! Great set list!!!! The energy was unbelievable, Jimmy was on!!! Heck, everyone was on!! (side note: I hope Peter rides the wave with Jimmy til it's done...The man is super talented...as are all the CRB....I just hope he never thinks of jumping to 'greener pastures')
Headed to the Arena Hotel where I met you all. I will not even attempt to remember who all was there, because I KNOW I will leave someone out, and you are ALL equally important to me. Thank you again for your concern and support.
Headed back to the Travelodge, which was the scene of a very happening tailgate party in it's own right! Crashed out, and all was well!! I am very happy right now with both the good news and with getting to see all of you again (and Jimmyyyyyyyyyyy)
'Til we do it all again!!!
