What do you all think? I know LTC is still fresh and was just released late last year, but I always look forward to new music from Bubba. Also, what kind of music do you think his next CD will contain? I'm hoping for something similar to A-1-A or Floridays. I would also like to see all Jimmy with no special guests.

Nothing new from the studio this year. Too soon, and he's slowed down on producing new music. But look for "Live In...." this year.

If the tour is called A Salty Piece of Land, that seems to indicate that there will not be a new album this year. But let's get those live tour albums out!

I seriously doubt it. We haven't heard of him doing any recording since the LTC sessions.

I wonder if Jimmy will be a part of the new live concert recording where they burn the show to disc and then sell it to you on CD on your way out.

I know some acts are going to start doing this soon. Kiss and Pearl Jam are two of the groups that I have heard of that will start.

It was nearly three years after Banana Wind that we got Beach House On the Moon, and another three years from BHOTM to Far Side of the World (although 9/11 was a major reason for the delay), and two and a half more years until License To Chill.
So don't be surprised if there is nothing out of the studio from Jimmy this year.
A live concert C.D. from Chicago or Alpine would be nice-it's what we were told would happen last year.

If I'm not mistaken you're referring to the Instant Live series which has been underway at least a year or two now. I believe the Allman Brothers were the first to take part, issuing a show from Allhell Pavilion in Raleigh. Pearl Jam have been releasing live shows on their own for several years now, as have Phish, The Dead and quite a few others. With Buffett's Live In.. series on Mailboat I seriously doubt he'd want to switch over to Instant Live which, nice as it is, is owned by Clear Channel. Plus, that gives him (or the engineers) time to fix any technical glitches there may have been during the shows.

I can't remember where I've heard/seen this, but when asked what he'd be doing now that his book was done Jimmy mentioned that he'll be touring, producing a movie and then at some point will head back into the studio to record another CD. My guess is that will give us a new one early next year.

I remember hearing the movie talk mentioned in one of the interviews I read with him following the release of License To Chill but I don't recall him going into any detail. I'm guessing at this point it's not the Joe Merchant movie but something else entirely.

I think it's in the Lon Helton interview (thanks Bill) where he says he's involved in the production of Carl Hiason's "Hoot". Therefore, I am doubtful.

Although in re-listening to the recording of him in Key West December '03, after recording sessions for "Conchy Tonk" as it was called then, there were a handful of songs that landed on the cutting room floor. Therefore, I am hopeful!

A definite maybe!

If you bought the book you got a new CD call A Salty Piece Of Land. You also got AN Attitude of Gratitude if you bought the Marlo Thomas CD.
2 New songs and a book is quiet alot if you ask me plus any live CD's and/or DVD's that will be released plus a tour of approx. 28 dates. Looks like it is going to be a good Parrothead year.
