Looking for an Island band in or near WI

Post by Altered Boy »

Hello all,

I need some help finding a good band to play an outdoor wedding reception, and I knew this is the best place to get the information. We are getting married in May down in Jamaica, and having our reception in June.

It is going to held in Janesville WI, so I am looking for a band that is located close to us. The band I was looking at getting happens to be booked the weekend I need them, and I haven't seen too many bands in the area that cover the music I want. I prefer a band that plays a lot of island music with Buffett mixed in. We are trying to bring the island experience to the people that were not able to make the trip down with us.

Thank you all for your help
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to
fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

NOt sure if they travel that far but there's an unbelieveable band in Ohio called Fins To The Left. I have seen them a bunch of times and they are really good..a true Buffett tribute band. Go to their web site. They've played on Duval Street in Key West.

Thanks for all the help. This will give me a few options to check out. Now the hard work starts. Sitting in a few bars drinking some beer listening to some good music.

dean_siu: I thought of your idea, but rumor has it that he is already playing that weekend. I will give him an invitation to come down to Jamaica to attend the wedding.
