Here is something funny I just caught.
In the original version of "Old Blue Chair" when he's singing about passing out in the chair he says "from too much Malibu and diet" and in the version on Be As You Are he says "Cruzan and diet" .....so I dial up Cruzan rum on the email machine in front of me and I'll be darned. Cruzan is a "proud sponsor of Kenny Chesney's 2005 tour"!
When I heard it yesterday I kept thinking Cruzan doesn't sound right so I listened to the WTSGD version and just laughed.
I guess Malibu didn't want to pony up the $$.
Or he changed his preference in rum.

Yeah they were they official sponser for last years tour, they didnt want kenny saying "Malibu" anymore

Pretty soon it will be shorts and wrist bands for him in concert. Buffett and the islands must have had a huge influence on him. If parrotheads don't like this album, we'd better re-evaluate, it's Buffett revisited

I hope so, last year the said Pine Knob and it ended up being Joe Louis, this year it says Joe Louis, I cant believe he would play inside all summer!!!! but he's new setup is has a catwalk into the crowd and a vip section called the "sandbox" so I bet he will play inside, so much for tailgating and tropical themes

the best venue in cleveland has to be the State Theater because its the perfect size and its very intimate. It probably only seats 2500 or so, so every seat is a good seat. Also it used to be a movie theater believe it or not, back in the 30s, so thats kinda cool. I saw Keith Urban there a few months ago and it was just such a good venue with amazing acoustics and i was probably no more than 25 feet away from the stage. Also during the performance he came out and walked all around the theater while playing this huuuuuugggge guitar solo, so i was actually about 2 feet away from the man at the time. It wouldn't be a great place to see someone like Jimmy or Kenny though, because those shows are as much about the atmosphere as the music, so outdoors is the best place to see a show like that.

His life definitely has been dramatically changed by the islands, kinda like when Jimmy ventured down to Key West after rejection in Nashville. I think his album is gonna be great... he's most definitely an Island Boy.

I just watched the "Be as you are" special on CMT and thought it was great. One thing though, maybe it's just me but somehow I get the feeling that with all of the island and tropical music talk during the interview that Kenny and the hostess of the show go out of their way not to mention Jimmy Buffett.

I just watched Kenny perform it live on CMT and it sure sounded and looked like he said "diet". It also sounds that way if you give the track a good listen.
