How about on the rocks?

You know, you're right! I never thought of it like that, but the Corona is always my staple when the weather turns for the better. I had my first one in a long time the other nightElyzabeth wrote:I could go for an ice cold corona right now... Maybe even two. They just taste like summertime.

Help!!!
Hello all! I just found out that I am going to be in Phoenix from April 10-13 on business and would like to attend the show. I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can answer...
1. I am staying at the Wyndham on Adams (smack dab in the middle of downtown). Is there an easy way for me to get to the venue without having to rent a car? Is there a bus? How much would a cab run and would I be able to find one after the show?
2. What is the likelihood that I will be able to find a single available ticket outside the venue an hour before showtime?
Thanks!!!

Re: Help!!!
cricket pavilion is probably about 10~15 miles from downtown and is located directly north of I-10. forget which exits, but the exit signage on I-10 identifies them. west bound traffic on I-10 can be a bear at rush hour, give yourself plenty of time to get there. doubtful about bus service. PHX is the land of SUVs and public transportation is limited. grabbing a cab to get there might be pricy and getting one home might take a phone call or some preplanning a call to cricket to inquire if they know if cab pickup is common after shows. the concierge at the hotel might be able to help with transportation and directions. picking up a ticket shouldn't be too hard. i've always seen people hawking tickets in the parking lot. the cost of a round trip cab might be about the price of a rent car. another option is getting a car service to take you and get you. same as a limo only a regular car. somewhere i got a business car for lane transportation. they provide car service to the airport. they might take you to the show.cudjoekey wrote:Hello all! yep ... buses out here are really bad
you can go to valleymetro.org and put in your start address and ending address to get an idea
just don't plan on it being on time or have any less than 2-3 transfers
i'd probably just rent a car
with the traffic going on cabs are going to get expensive ... especially if on 10 west during rush hour
i was taking a cab between my hotel in tempe and the tempe beach park last year for new years and it was like $25-$30 each way
if you are sober enough to drive, it's worth renting a car ... parking is included w/the ticket cost
speaking of which, scalping is legal here with some perameters ... they will probably be just off venue with many tickets ... the market is really soft (softer than any other buffett show i've ever gotten tickets for, except maybe the thursday before a saturday in chicago)
maybe e-bay wouldn't be a bad option if you can swing it with the timeline
hopefully you find a way to make it work ... the weather has been great and the show will be a blast ... cricket is a great venue as well

Heya
Me and my wife will be at the show Tues. We are staying at the econolodge which is a few minutes walking distance from the venue. We'll be in the pool by noon and in the lot by 4. i have 50 free copies of Buffett shows past to people I meet to give out to folks that impress me or that just make me laugh along the way. It's a good karma thing. I havnt seen Jimmy since 1994. I have been geographically challenged since then. Its my wifes first show. If any of you BNers got reservations at the Econolodge, send me a PM and we wil try to hook up.

I NEED HELP!
I NEED HELP!!
I live in Las Vegas. I went to the show here in Vegas Saturday night. My wife couldn't make it, so I took a friend. When my wife saw all the goodies I bought at the show. When she saw the cool windbreaker with the embroidered tour logo I bought she said "Why didn't you get me one of those?? I LOVE it!" (Sometimes a t-shirt isn't enough.)
SO, I will gladly pay someone to pick me up a size medium tan windbreaker with the embroidered tour logo. Extra for S&H and your trouble too.
PLEASE help a guy out here!

Tomorrow is the big day and a group of us hard core Parrot Heads will be headed south tomorrow morning and staying at the Econo-Lodge. We will probably spend some time hanging out by the pool then will most likely head over to the pre-concert part at Macayo's. Hope to see you all there. I will have my BN'ers name tag on so keep a eye out for me. Hope to see you all there.
