and when you don't get tickets, don't put your fist through your monitor..... you're gonna need the computer to get to the BN ticket exchange in hopes of finding some seats..... :P

Stand in line, see if anyone says "these are great seats" on their way out..follow them home........tailgate them on the road....cause fender bender.....slug ticket owner.....take tickets.....enjoy show

My effective ticket-getting practices:

Go to a non-busy TicketMaster location when tickets go on sale.

If that is not possible, have fast Internet and quick "mouse" fingers.

Get married at the concert.

Don't go to shows that sell out in 1 minute.

Win them in a contest.

Call up ticket broker....ask them "what kind of seats can I get for $1500 a piece?" :x

But be careful if you choose this route..... some ticketmonster outlets won't sell out-of-area tickets at all, and some don't sell them until 15 mintues after they go on sale... too late; you're SOL at that point. Call the outlet ahead of time.....

If you DO go to a ticketmonster location, pay in CASH to be sure your tickets don't disappear while they try to run your credit card...

The last two years at Tweeter in Chicago, I got my tickets via Ebay. Granted they were towards the back of the pavilion, but I paid face value.....

high speed dosn't always help. I got tickets for Nissan while some on T1 connections didn't. Its just a matter of luck sometimes on that speed thing.

This is absolutely true. I pulled a pair of front row tickets for the special New Orleans show (December '04) while using an antique laptop with a dial-up modem. Of course, I lived in the wrong state...and my order was cancelled...but, for one brief moment - utopia.

try a out of state ticketmaster.don't call ,but go to one.i'm thinking about that when something up north goes on sale.my girlfriend lives in atlanta and i may have her go to a outlet and see if it works.i don't know if that will work or not but its worth a shot.worse case is i would have extra tickets if it works.

I've always found it handy to have one person on the computer and the other on the phone simultanously. The first person to get through gets the tickets. Before I had high-speed internet the only way I ever got 'em was over the phone and I've always been lucky enuff to get the max number every time. I've only had to stand in line for tickets once in my life. Back in '92 I stood in line for tickets to Garth Brooks. I was 40th in line and they sold out before I got in. The show sold out in 12 minutes. :(

My local venue is Camden which sells out really quick. I've had no luck for 2 years and refuse to spend the big bucks on ebay. The game plan this year is to have one person on pc and one person in line with a cell phone. We'll see who makes out first. If I got extras it would appear I'd have no problem getting rid of them. If somebody could tell me an out of the way ticketmaster in NJ or Pa if you can get them there I would make the drive even if it was up north. But it seems that when pholks get a good spot they want to keep it top secret.
