Vegas Bachelor Party

Several friends and I are going to Vegas the end of April for a 4 day weekend. Only two of us have been before and nobody considers themselves an expert. Based on our budget, we've narrowed the hotel down to the Luxor or Treasure Island but aren't sure which one is better.
Any advice on which hotel is better for a guys weekend? We're all 30 something---don't know if different hotels cater to different age groups but we don't want to be with the geriatric set or with the real young crowd either.
Any other tips would be appreciated too!
Thanks

Luxor. Treasure Island is more family orientated.

Neither are that great as far as location. Treasure Island is the newer and nicer of the two but I would say Luxor is in the better location as you are close to MGM, NYNY, Excaulber, The Trop and Mandalay Bay.... (Treasure Island is near the Migage and Veintian) I have heard some bad things about the Luxor though, most all the rooms over look the casino entrance so it is very loud in the rooms with echos , the few people I know who have stayed there said they would never go back. You would be better off at theFlamingo or Ballys both are right in the middle of the strip and both should be around the same prices at Treasure Island and Luxor! If I had to pick one to stay at I would probally go with the Luxor based only on the location, there is alot more to do down that end of the strip.
Just my thoughts!

Vegas is not a good place for bachelor parties.....this is a puritan and wholesome town....we don't need that rubbish here!

I've never stayed in either, but when hubby and I went to Vegas for a friend's wedding, we actually spent a lot of time just hanging out at the Luxor. We had a great time there. I've read reviews on tripadvisor.com about staying at the Luxor and I remember reading that staying in the tower rooms are better than the pyramid rooms. It is a neat hotel (and our daughter is really into Egypt stuff, so she thought that was pretty nifty).
Truly, it's prolly 6 of 1 half dozen of the other

I would go for "TI" just because of Tangerine. However, I might soon be changing over to the Mirage.

Wait a minute, I thought you had never been to Vegas

If it comes down to TI or Luxor I would have to run screaming. I don't care for either one. The Luxor tower rooms are decent however the location isn't too great, unless you're going to Club Paradise. TI always feels cramped and crowded but the location is better. I would opt for the Monte Carlo, MGM, the Belliago or Caesar's Palace for a few dollars more. Even Ballys would be an improvement over the Luxor or TI.
