Ticket Envy in the Midwest!!!

Post by Jimmy4pres »

Hey Board!
I am having extreme ticket envy for all those people in the FL, NV, etc that have tickets to a Buffett show. I know, I know, my time will come (I am in Wisconsin) but it is still KILLING ME! The wife and I thought about flying to a concert, but there is a scheduling conflict, i.e. we gotta work!

Can anyone ease my pain? Does anyone feel my pain?

Well I live in RI but I never get to go to the shows here cause they are too expensive and they sell out in like 2 seconds...plus I always fly to Fla to see him there so my hubby refuses to let me see him 2x a year especially when tix are $80 a pop

Hey longlinergirl!
yes, tickets are pricey if you get reserved. Lawn, around here, are usually around $35 (face) plus all of the charges. My wife and I try to get reserved, if possible.

I am very lucky. My wife has gotten the Buffett bug and is willing to go to any upcoming concert within driving distance. We would drive up to 400 miles one way. Flying? well, when you start to fly, the prices add up: flight, tickets, hotel, car, spending money, etc.

Oh well. I will just wait until he comes my way!

There is a bright side, however. Jimmy is opening up a Cheeseburger in Paradise about 20 minutes from my house in October!!!

Cool on the CIp...I get lucky and every year the concert in Fla falls right around the date of something big happining down there. This year it is right around my sin's birthday so I have to take him to see his grandparents for his birthday...right   ...Last year it was a golf tourney I work at and the year before that...well I was pregnant so that doesn't count. And before that I lived in Lauderdale so I just had to drive there...lol

Well it really hit me this week, the cabin fever. With announcement of the JB concerts, the release of the Kenny Chesney island album tomorrow(which I like from my early listen on CMT), planning my vacation to Key West, and the fact that is it 7 degrees right now really makes me want spring. And with spring comes buying JB tickets. Lucky for me too that there is a CIP about 10 minutes from my house that opened up in December, that has helped some. But, I really want this damn cold weather to get out of Ohio and wanna see some spring flowers! If it doesn’t stop soon my freezer is going to have some holes in it!

ENVIOUS? Are you kidding? Of course I'm envious. I agree with Marg...Matt, but I have no CIP anywhere near me, and have almost no hope for a concert anywhere near me (or anywhere in the middle part of the country). So I'm hoping Jimmy will slowly, step by step, moooove away from the coasts and into the ocean-challenged part of the US.
And announce it fairly soon, please?

Two for The Pond for April 7!!

Dear WIS... if it gets to be too much let us know... before we lived in Barbados we lived in WI for 20 years (what can one say, the excuse was Great Schools) and we know How It Is... you wanna come to CA, let us know, as Badgers we would be glad to put you up. 9 months of winter is too much of anything. .. we look back and wonder WHY anyone lives in WI. You better fly to St. Somewhere SOON!!

Orange County ain't the Caribbean but it aint' bad either, just a bit chilly.
