I know this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it and was hoping to get some new ideas as well. I am in the process of creating a "Caribbean Cowboy" CD, with country songs about the beach, tropics, summertime, ect. Kenny Chesney has done alot of this lately, but I know there are others. Here's what I've got so far..........
"Some Beach" -Blake Shelton
"Five O'Clock Somewhere" -Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett
"Loco" -David Lee Murphy
If you have any ideas, old or new, please share. Thanks!

Jerry Jeff Walker's entire Cowboy Boots and Bathing Suits album for starters.
Guy Clark also has a few in that vein:
"Supply and Demand"
"The South Coast of Texas"
"Blowin' Like A Bandit"
"Voila, An American Dream"
"The Ballad of Laverne and Captain Flint"
"Boats To Build"

"Some Beach" - Blake Shelton
"10 Rounds With Jose Cuervo" - Tracy Byrd
"5 o'clock. . ." - you know who
"Margaritaville" - Alan and Jimmy
"Marina Del Rey" - George Strait and/or Kenny Chesney
"Then What" - Clay Walker
"Blame It On Mexico" - Georege Strait
"No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems" - Kenny Chesney
"When The Sun Goes Down" - Kenny Chesney
"Coast Of Somewhere Beautiful" - Kenny Chesney
"Old Blue Chair" - Kenny Chesney
also, you could probably put all of Kenny's new album on there, but i really wouldn't consider that album very "country" so you may not want to.
also, theres many LTC songs that fit, like "Boats To Build", "Coast Of Carolina", "Sea Of Heartbreak", "Conky Tonkin'", and "Back To The Island"

I purchased it locally but that was when it first came out so I don't know about it's commercial availability these days. If all else fails order it from the man himself.

so many to choose from
You're my Jamaica- Charlie Pride (really good song)
Stays in Mexico-Toby Keith
Good to go to Mexico-Toby Keith
Juanita-David Allan Coe
I need a Breather-Darryl Worley (sp)
So bad last night-Jerry Jeff Walker (reggae flavored)
Six Pack Summer-Phil Vassar (name drops Buffett)
I got Mexico-Eddy Raven
Living in Black and White-Eddy Raven
Bermuda Triangle-Eddy Raven
Caribbean-Hank Snow
If I had a Boat-Lyle Lovett
I agree with Jah on "Voila, an American Dream".
I have three versions of it by Rodney Crowell (whom I think wrote it), Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Guy's version and they're all good.
Guy's version is espeically good since it's changed up a bit musically

David Allan Coe also has the song "Divers Do It Deeper" from Family Album which apparently upset Buffett enough for him to pursue a lawsuit against him which in turn led to DAC penning "Jimmy Buffett Doesn't Live In Key West Anymore". Coe also has a couple of island themed records: Compass Point and Spectrum VII though I'm not sure how hard they are to find these days.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Garth Brooks "Two Pina Coladas". I love that song and whenever I go to Karaoke bar, someone always sings it.
