Hey, that's here's a new twist. Personally, I can never read the "tiny" font unless I click "quote" and see what they typed. Especially if it's cyan color. So let's not let the lurkers see what we type until they register!! Otherwise they will have to cut-and-paste each post into a separate document just to see if we are talking about them.

Ouch, that hurts to look at!

I read the explanation a few weeks ago about it. Penny said it had something to do with spiders from google I think.

Search engine spiders, most likely from Google.

That's the reason that the "latest posts" link is down now.

Each user and search engine spider is assigned a session ID each time they visit a phpBB site like BN. Having that many different session ID's made the folder larger than allowed by phpBB.

Could not delete old search id sessions

Website owners (or someone else) submits a web address to a search engine in hopes of getting the site listed.

At regular intervals Google (and other search engines) "spider" that website, visiting each of the 17 links www.buffettnews.com. Google reads each word on that page and follows each of those links. Google reads each word on those pages and follows any links there.

Google assigns values to things like the number of times a certain word appears on a page, how many other pages on the web are linked to that page, and many other factors to determine a rank for each page. How much weight each of these factors receives is a closely guarded secret at Google.

There are companies that do nothing but try to improve websites so that they rank higher with search engines.

Just looked, at that is no longer listed-the most ever is now listed at 190 earlier tonight (which most likely is also an exaggerated figure)
