Mango Press was kind enough to share a few advance copies
with several of us, but I don't recall seeing any posts about
what any of us thought.
I believe that if you're already into Tim Dorsey's madness he
calls literature, this may be a bit tame for you. But if you are
a novice, this will be a good place to get started. Taco Bob is
a fun guy to follow around, and he certainly gets into some
interesting adventures with some wild characters.

I posted a review in the What Are You Reading thread a while ago, but I'll reitterate here.
If you enjoy Jimmy Buffett's writing, you should enjoy "Key Weird." The two writing styles are very similar as they tell stories full of whimsical adventures.

Damn it'll be way to tame for me then...no seriously I will have check it out!

I gotta agree with Ilph about Key Weird being similar to Buffett’s writing style. A Salty Piece of Land and Key Weird have some uncanny parallels in the stories as well. Without giving too much away here: how about both lead characters leave the same kind of job and end up cornered in the same exact bar by the two bad guys looking for them? Then everyone heads for the tropics??? And both books came out about the same time...
