do you even know what "island" music is? just because you write a song about the islands doesnt make it "island." you think ppl in the bahamas listen to songs about how they love the sand in their toes and pina colodas clear their heads?? i could write a bunch of songs (i can, i have a degree in music) about beaches but that wouldnt make me an island musician.
sorry, but when compared to marley or buffett or don tiki, etc etc etc.....KC's music has no substance. its all abercrombie and fitch poster boy music.

Island music?? Well, I think it is all a matter of opinion. Clearly Jimmy and Kenny share the same love for the islands. I think their expression of it in music is totally different. Kenny=country, Jimmy="country calypso" as someone stated earlier in the thread. I love them both. And I don't think Kenny is a Buffett wannabe. He is doing just fine being himself.

I am not angry at all. I think it's great that this forum has been provided to discuss KC and his music. Great call!
For the record, I do not hate KC. I don't know him. I just don't care for him as a performer. He's probably a decent guy.
