COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Two men were taken into custody Thursday morning after they allegedly forced a woman to go shopping with her boyfriend waiting in the parking lot.
A man was coming home from work around 2 a.m. when the two suspects approached with guns drawn, NBC 4's Kyle Anderson reported.
The men reportedly told the alleged victim, who would only identify himself as Jeremy, that they wanted to go shopping. The men checked Jeremy's wallet, found his girlfriend's credit cards and forced her to come outside and join the suspects, Anderson reported.
The men allegedly took the woman to the bank to make a withdrawal and then drove her to a Wal-Mart where they sent her inside with a shopping list, Anderson reported.
While the suspects waited outside the store with Jeremy, the woman told a Wal-Mart manager that she needed police.
As officers approached, the suspects forced Jeremy to drive away from the store and led police on a 100 mph along Morse Road, Anderson reported.
"We saw the cop pull in the parking lot," Jeremy said. "Driving down Morse Road and saw cops like there was no tomorrow, coming at us."
The chase ended in a parking lot on Belcher Drive where the street came to an end.
"When we got here, the guy threw the gun in my lap," Jeremy said. The cops were all with shotguns. (The suspect) says, 'Tell the cops it's your gun.'"
Eventually, the men were taken into custody, Anderson reported.
