Oh yeah, Isla!!! Geez, Jager kills the short term memory. If I'da been there I might have done something really stupid (for being in a Mexican restaurant) and ordered a filet. Of course I'da only done it to see if it was as good as Vodoo's. And it would have been different, about as good, but different! Yeah, thanks Hardwood!!!
You still haven't mentioned the place with the smoke..... what was it called?? LMAO!!!

Thanks for all the tips guys. Keep them coming! I just printed them out and will put some of them to the test this weekend when I go out for the Superbowl.
Let me add a couple to the list: Best 80's band. Loveshack which plays the Fremont Street experience weekend evenings and then the Texas Station every Friday and Saturday night. Each member dresses up as a different 80's rock icon, you've got a B-52 girl, a Devo guy, a Billy Idol guy, etc. The sound great and really put on a fun show. Seen them many times and they are always great.
Best BrewPub: 777 Restaurant and Brewery,Main Street Station, Downtown. They have unbeliveable Sports Bar type food, large portions for cheap and the best hand-crafted beer in Vegas. Bonus: if you are gambling at the Main Street, you get all of this delicious micro-brew beer you can drink for free. I've stayed at the Main Street many times and think it is one of Vegas's hidden gems.
If I think of any others, I'll post them.

Have any of you used a VIP service to get you into clubs? I notice that ICE has a ticket service with different packages. I have also seen some companies that get you into clubs for a fee. Last time I was in Vegas for Buffett, a friend of mine got me into the Ghost Bar. It was great. I just walked up (skipped the line of about 100 people), gave them my name and I was in. Just wondering if these VIP services are legitimate. I am too old to stand in a line at a club for a long time.

Ummm, Dave do you want to handle this one?
I've never used a "service", but I have known some people who know some people. Of course a few dead presidents never hurt cut down the wait time.

If you want to go to any of the hot clubs on the weekend and you don't have a connection, that's about your only way to avoid lines.
http://www.vegas.com has packages.
You can get in relatively quick during the week but not on a Friday or Saturday. Have you ever watched "The Club" on spiketv and seen the lines at Ice even before they open the doors? Ouch!!
Your only other option is to go waaaaay early. Find out what time the club opens and be there before that. Here's another tip. If you want to check out a few of the happening clubs, don't try to do them all in one night. If you do, be prepared to stand in line longer than you'll spend in the club. Pick one and go for it. If I wanted to go to Ice, Tangerine, Ghostbar, Studio 54, or any other one of the hot spots and I didn't know anyone that could hook me up, I'd DEFINITELY buy a package from a service.
BTW, according to the info at
http://www.icelasvegas.com their p*** Star Ball is this Saturday!!!!
If you want to avoid the whole issue and still want to have a great time, go to Carnival Court!!

Two clubs in one. One is full time hip-hop/R&B, the other is full time house music with some of the best DJs in the world. Bars all over so you never have to go far. If you have a group of people going, I would reserve a table (and ask for Stacey's section). You need a group for a table because there is a TWO bottle minimum.
The only downside to ICE imo are the bathrooms. There are only two and they are quite small.
